The Meaning of Leadership (Literally)

The word “leader” comes from an Old English word meaning “to go before as a guide”.

The word has nothing to do with authority, command, or compliance. Or org structure. Or how much you get paid. Or what office views you have.

Blaze the trail by example, be transparent, and bring your best when your best is needed. And trust smart, well-intentioned people to do smart, well-intentioned things.
